Comparative Genomic Hybridization or CGH is a cytogenetic technique developed for detecting of chromosome aberrations: deletions (permanent removal of DNA segments, long or short), and gene-amplifications (extra copies of specific DNA segments). It combines the standard karyotyping method (implemented in VideoTesT-Karyo 3.1 software) with the FISH-analysis (VideoTesT-FISH). The tremendous strength of the CGH technique is the capability to analyze all the genomic aberrations within one experiment. The VideoTesT-CGH is the basis of the specialized VideoTesT-CGH image analysis system. VideoTesT-CGH features and functions
