VideoTesT-CGH software from Digital Imaging SystemsVideoTesT-CGH software is designed to automate the CGH analysis procedure.

Comparative Genomic Hybridization or CGH is a cytogenetic technique developed for detecting of chromosome aberrations: deletions (permanent removal of DNA segments, long or short), and gene-amplifications (extra copies of specific DNA segments). It combines the standard karyotyping method (implemented in VideoTesT-Karyo 3.1 software) with the FISH-analysis (VideoTesT-FISH).

The tremendous strength of the CGH technique is the capability to analyze all the genomic aberrations within one experiment.

The VideoTesT-CGH is the basis of the specialized VideoTesT-CGH image analysis system.

VideoTesT-CGH features and functions

  • Acquiring stacks of b/w metaphase plate images with hybridized DNA (filters: DAPI, FITC, TRITC). Image acquisition with a TV/digital camera or scanner having a TWAIN driver (8, 10, 12, 16 bit). All the VideoTesT direct camera drivers at your disposal.
  • Computing fluorescence ratio which designates the ratio between the intensity of the green fluorescence (the DNA being tested) and the red one (the reference DNA) and creating a color coded image by the use of the fluorescence ratio.
  • Visualizing chromosome regions with DNA losses (deletions) and gains (amplifications).
  • Calculating fluorescence ratio profiles (FITC/TRITC) of every chromosome.
  • Averaging data on one or several metaphase plates.
  • Reporting: print out the results using user-customized templates.
  • Saving source images, karyograms and analysis results to built-in image database.
