VideoTesT-FISH software provides an ability to obtain resultant color images by mixing or superimposing of initial black and white images taken in a fluorescence microscope with different filters (to make different fluorescent marks be visible). This enables to locate and identify the DNA sequences directly in cells and chromosomes.

VideoTesT-FISH 1.0 features and functions

• acquisition of a sequence of fluorescent images with a b/w integrating camera
• ability to adjust the camera (brightness, contrast, integration)
• opening of b/w images from files (.tif, .bmp, .jpg)
• false coloring of loaded images
• ability to merge the acquired false colored images and to obtain a color resulting image
• ability to threshold image areas by brightness, to false color them and to superimpose them on the first image in a series
• ability to perform image enhancement with filters (brightness/contrast & gamma correction, smoothing, sharpening and negative, background correction)
• ability to perform image annotation
• manual measurements
• automatic measurements of recognized areas
• exporting of measured data to MS Excel for further treatment
• saving of image series to a file (special file format .fish)
• saving of resultant images
• sending of resultant images to the image database
